Financial MNGT Series: Part III - Predicting Your Company's Cash Needs

Description:

Complete your financial education with this third course in our seminar series. This class is designed to teach you how to create and use a cash budget to prepare for future business performance. During this course, you will learn to estimate future sources and uses of cash. You will also learn how to analyze your predictions to make more informed decision. You should leave this session feeling more comfortable about decisions related to preparing for growth, realistic loan and financing requests, how much cash you can safely take out of the business, and how to make affordable purchases for your business. At its conclusion, you should be able to: forecast sales, receivables and expenses, use a cash budget to create a month-by-month view and calculate Break-Even, as it relates to business expansion, workforce additions or capital expenditures.

Cooking Matters for Adults (Session 3 of 6)

Description:

Cooking Matters is a 6-session culinary-based nutrition education program that is delivered through; powerful, engaging lessons featuring hands-on learning that include group discussion with instructors. Program Goal: This program’s main goals are: 1. to provide knowledge and skills to help seniors prepare food at home more, and become aware of the negative health behaviors associated with obesity and sedentary lifestyles. The primary objectives are to teach: (1) Cooking tips and techniques; (ii) tips for proper food safety; (iii) storage and sanitation; (iv) nutrition and health information to ensure optimal health; (v) budgeting -stretching food dollars and maximizing resources; (vi) tips to get families to try new foods; and (vii) shopping healthfully on a limited budget. The program evaluates participants at week 1 and week 6 and behavior changes occur consistently in all individuals.

MoTax offers a gateway to financial education through taxpayer assistance. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy at RCF in El Dorado (Session 15 of 16)

Description:

Missouri’s SSSH program is designed to increase aging adults’ access to a safe, structured and effective strength training program. Over 8 weeks, participants learn exercises to improve their strength, flexibility and balance. During each session, a prescribed set of 8 upper and lower body strengthening exercises are done along with warm-up and cool-down stretches. Participants are made to feel comfortable regardless of their current fitness level so they can safely participate and gradually build the strength beneficial to health.

Stay Strong, Stay Healthy-Pulaski County (Session 4 of 16)

Description:

It is recommended that adults perform strength training activities 2-3 times per week. Stay Strong, Stay Healthy provides older adults an opportunity to do muscle strengthening exercises in a safe environment where they can progress at their own rate. Strength training has several health benefits including improved strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility. Strength training also helps improve self-esteem and quality of sleep. The biggest benefit this program has to offer older adults is the ability to remain independent and continue performing activities of daily living without assistance.

Estate Planning - The basics - Marshall

People of all levels of wealth need an estate plan.

This program helps Missourians understand the need for an estate plan and presents the fundamentals of creating one. Topics addressed are titled property (ownership, methods of transfer, probate, wills, trusts, Power of Attorney, Advanced Directives) and non-titled property. Non-titled items often have sentimental value or are important to family history. A workbook, titled "Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie Plate?" is included. It is a guide for passing on personal possessions and offers practical information about inheritance like what is considered "fair" and how to manage conflict in sometimes emotional situations.
