Hops in Missouri's Summer- considerations on growing

Join us for this FREE field day, the 2nd this season at Bradford Farm's new 1/4 acre hop yard/cultivar trial. Presentations will be from 3 to 5 pm and will cover the following: review vine growth and cone formation of the 10 cultivars, irrigation needs and system being used, common diseases, and plans for harvesting and drying. Come early and stop to chat and walk around the hop yard. Project leaders Pat Byers and James Quinn will be there from 2 to 3 PM. Folks representing craft breweries and home brewers are welcome to bring some of their product for tasting. 'Hoppy hour' from 5 to 6 PM.
