Description:

It is an opportunity for personal growth and development of the young person who participates. As the youth participants learn to do and do to learn, we provide opportunities for young people to develop character, learn to share, cooperate and develop life skills. The fair consists of a variety of shows that will be evaluated by a judge, allowing the youth to receive knowledge on how to improve their livestock. Another part is self-evaluation judging that takes place with inside exhibits.

The Basics of Writing a Business Plan

This course is for current and future business owners and entrepreneurs who have little or no knowledge of writing a business plan. "The Basics of Writing a Business Plan" is designed for business owners and managers who need to know how to create a business plan for their organization so the plan can be a useful management tool. During this course, participants will learn the importance of business plans, the key required elements of a basic plan and data that must be included. Participants will also get tips on writing style to make the business plan easier to understand and more professional in appearance. Participants will leave this session with a greater understanding of what their business plan should look like and how to get started writing one. It will also provide guidelines for style and appearance to help create a professional look for your business plan. Discussions are facilitated by business counselors who will help you examine your individual situation, explore opportunities and discover new ideas. You'll learn from other participants and have a host of valuable resources available to you.

Livingston County Back to School Bonanza (9th Annual)

Welcome to the 9th Annual Back To School Bonanza! The purpose of this event is to provide health and safety information to Livingston County students who are in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Also, all students in attendance will receive a back pack with school supplies which are purchased through local community grants and donations. School supplies may only be picked up on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 between 3:30pm – 6:00pm during the Back to School Bonanza at the Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center, 206 Locust Street. PLEASE NOTE: NEW LOCATION!!! The Livingston County Back to School Bonanza is open to Livingston County residents only who are entering Kindergarten - 5th grade. All applications are due on MONDAY, July 17, 2017.
