What's Brewing

When:

Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Description:

Exploring Issues, Connections and Opportunities for St. Louis Area Neighborhoods
St. Louis neighborhoods vary tremendously in their economic vitality and community involvement. Gaps between neighboring communities represent both opportunities and threats.  We focus here on the opportunities.  How can we make connections across the boundaries that divide neighborhoods while insuring that each retains its distinctive character? How can we spread the strengths of rebound neighborhoods to surrounding communities?

Join us for a series of breakfast conversations to explore Opportunity Neighborhoods: Building from Neighborhood Assets. Each session will focus on a different opportunity neighborhood and include:
•    Background analysis by Dr. Todd Swanstrom of UMSL
•    A panel discussion featuring stakeholders who have played key roles in the community’s development
•    Group discussion to explore the application of strategies to other St. Louis communities

Cost:

$0.00

Facilitator:
