Boone County has had three courthouses in its history. The present one was built in 1909. You can read about the site selection, architecture, debates and construction of each one in this publication. Photos and illustrations of floor plans, designs, murals and downtown districts of all eras in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries are provided.

Those interested in Missouri history and law, and the people that influenced each, will find this interesting reading.
